The 33rd Annual Japanese Speech Contest Held

On Saturday, April 23rd, the Consular Office of Japan in Portland held our 33rd Annual Japanese Speech Contest at the Wells Fargo Center Tower in downtown Portland. Three students from two high schools in Oregon competed to demonstrate their Japanese proficiency gained through their daily studies. The speech theme for this year`s contest was open and while the contestants' families, friends, and teachers watched on, all the contestants gave wonderful speeches, enthusiastically expressing their experiences and future dreams.
This speech contest was supported and sponsored by the Oregon Japanese Teachers Association (ATJO).
